The Earliest History

242BH: * Reckoned as the birth year of Scion Sheridan, Leader of the People.

200BH: * Reckoned as the founding of Priascialla by Scion Sheridan, Leader of the People.

199BH: * The Mutiny of the Engineers occurs. Janus Boutillier, second-in-command of Scion Sheridan and leader of the Engineers, is exiled to Flamehold along with about half of the Engineers. Cause of the Mutiny is lost to time.

196-193BH: * The loyal Engineers, now called Falgans, map most of the Kiassan Empire: Flamehold, Lirwhin, and Bilashe.

192BH: * The penal colony now called Flamehold declares Janus Boutillier its leader. Contact is subsequently lost with the planet.

191BH: * Scion Sheridan appointed President of Scialla.

180BH: * (Myth) Lady Sherreen makes formal pact with the Wilds, allowing limited colonization of Western Tergaea.

157BH: * Reckoned as the year of death of Scion Sheridan.

102BH: * The Great Rebellion on Scialla begins. Sheridan line is said to be destroyed.

102BH - 20AH: * Age of Sorrows. Chaos on Scialla. Military rule under petty kings who are deposed constantly and replaced.

30BH: * Birth of Tathis Skydancer, who at the age of 53 united Scialla again and restarted the Stardancer house, renouncing his name to re-establish the dead dynasty.

After the Age of Sorrows

1AH: * Reckoned as the birthday of the Prophet Haran, the creator and revealer of the Haranite Faith.

20AH: * General Tathis Skydancer (b. 33BH-d. 37AH, ruled 20-37AH), ends the Age of Sorrows with some definitive military victories, and subsequently declares himself King of the planet and takes possession of the White Palace of Priascialla. He renames his line the Stardancers to differentiate himself from a particularly disliked younger brother, Everil, who continued the Skydancer line.

33AH: * Year of Haran's first sermon, delivered before the White Palace of Priascialla. Over the year, King Tathis falls under Haran's sway and declares the faith the official state religion. Haran made First Pontiff of the Haranite Faith and declared a prophet.

62AH: * King Tathis I dies.

62-650AH: * Centuries of warfare and bickering beginning with the utter inability of Tathis' three sons to figure out who was going to rule Scialla.
* Haranite faith spreads through the planet.

200AH: * Putative founding of Valrona.

420AH: * Birth of Lady Ehlissa Coronal.

436AH: * Marriage of Lady Ehlissa Coronal to Dravek the Conqueror to seal a peace treaty.

444AH: * Birth of Faran the Servitor to Ehlissa and Dravek the Conqueror.
* Conversion of Dravek to Haranism.

610AH: * At a holy convocation in Priascialla, Ehlissa of the Sacred Heart is canonized.

650AH: * Residents of Walker, a moon of Lirwhin, begin to realize they aren't the only ones in the star system and begin to contact the other planets. They also begin colonizing Lirwhin and building the Domes that permit life on that planet.

670AH: * Flamehold makes contact with Scialla. Tentative treaties are signed and agreed on, but nothing too definitive yet.

675AH: * Bilashe makes contact with Scialla. A brief scouting party of Bilashans attacks from the air and is decimated.
* Hjargent Stardancer IV, born 656AH, becomes King of Scialla.
* After the skirmish with the Bilashans, House Tybiris is given its royal patent of nobility.

676-677AH: * The War of Acquisition, waged by Bilashe on primarily Lirwhin. Scialla and Flamehold spring to defense, finally winning against the superior numbers of the Bilashans.

680AH: * The Treaty of Priascialla signed by Lirwhin, Flamehold, Bilashe, Walker, and Scialla. The Treaty is a non-aggression pact that, among other things, makes the Sciallan leader, King Hjargent Stardancer IV, the Emperor of the newly-minted Kiassan Empire.

686AH: * The martyrdom of Elisis for demanding church reform.

703AH: * The death of Saint Alexander the Pristine. He is buried in Val Taqar.

771AH: * Emperor Shastasar I (730-791AH, reigned 771-791AH) crowned King of Scialla.

775AH: * Reckoned the beginning of the Machinist Cult, which flourished till about 900AH.

782AH: * Emperor Shastasar I outlaws the Machinist Cult by law. It continues its activities for some time, however.

791AH: * Elisis, who was executed in 686AH, is declared a saint.

820AH: * In a shocking upset, condottiere from Valrona break into the Cathedral of Saint Denis in Val Taqar, steal the bones of Saint Alexander, and spirit them back home, where they are interred in the cathedral that bears his name. The Saint's War erupts and is won by Valrona that fall.

900AH (approx.): * Research installations belonging to the proscribed Machinist Cult on Scialla in its Wilds are largely wiped out by mysterious means that are still a mystery, bringing about a new and far more severe backlash against science and technology.
* Saint Cayal lives around this timeframe, instituting several healing centers across Scialla.

912AH: * Birth of Emperor Richard Stardancer II (r. 935AH - d. 981AH).

920AH: * Saint Cayal makes his last missionary journey out west to establish a teaching monastery-hospital somewhere west of Weston, but never reaches the village. He is presumed dead and sainted.

950AH: * The Battle of Laurelhurst Fen takes place near Hurst Fen between Imperialist forces and a minor group of discontented Nobles. Afterward, Emperor Richard Stardancer II gives a patent of nobility to one of his top officers, Armile Montedevris, who becomes the founder of what later became one of the Nobles of the Twelve.

1000AH: * One of the first mentions of a retainer from House Endevarr serving a Stardancer emperor.

1202AH: * Emperor Calantus III (1202-1265AH) born. He will reign from 1243-1265.
* Pontiff Julian elected to the Church of Haran.

1250AH: * The Flameholdans sign the Grey Tower Treaty with the Kiassan Empire swearing formal and permanent subjugation after Emperor Calantus III (1202-1265AH) assists them greatly in curing the Red Plague for good.

1265AH: * Death of Emperor Calantus III. * Calantus IV inherits the throne.

1285AH: * Birth of Emperor Frederick Stardancer I to Calantus IV.

1285AH: * Birth of Emperor Frederick Stardancer I to Emperor Calantus IV.

1308AH: * Death of Emperor Calantus IV.
* Emperor Frederick Stardancer I inherits the Kiassan Throne.

1310AH: * The beginning of House Serebren, when Julian Serebren is elevated to Dukedom shortly before his daughter Dalya is married to Emperor Frederick I.

1322AH: * The University of Valrona is founded by Emperor Frederick and designed by Byron Artaher.

1420AH: * Pontiff Julian Nossis canonized.

1508AH: * A period of great tenseness between House Barrister and their lesser nobles that flares up in a huge burst suddenly. During the Battle of Flavian Fields, Duke Barrister faces his onetime best friend and general, Count Jason Grenville, and their forces fight to a standstill. Jason kills Barrister and claims the County of Duremont as his own. The Barrister forces, what's left of them, withdraw. A series of torturous treaties get signed and the Emperor has to step in to make everybody behave. The County becomes a Duchy, and Jason Grenville becomes its Duke.

The Birth of the Modern Kiassan Empire

1620AH: * Seruvian Accords signed by all five of the inhabited planets and moons of the Kiassan Empire. Established the Flameholdan Guard on Scialla as well as giving power and authority to the Kiassan Army. Outlined protocols for the handling of prisoners, conducting of war, and what weapons were allowed to be made, owned, or sold by any member of the Empire.

1622AH: * The Act of Incorporation passed, which creates a single, gold-backed currency standard for the fledgeling Kiassan Empire. The Ministry of Exchange is created in Priascialla to handle the money and currency, and House Endevarr is put in charge of it.

2040AH: * Founding of Warran College of the Humanities on Kandar.

2049AH: * Birth of Pontiff Innocent III, who later built the Crystal Cathedral in Eliff, on Scialla. He became Pontiff in 2081, built the Cathedral around 2089 as the result of a vision, and died in 2093 shortly after its completion. He has been venerated as a saint.

2155AH: * Birth of Duke Teodor Welleslan of House Barrister in Valrona.

2159AH: * Count Uwin Nesmith of House Tybiris inherits the Nesmith title and responsibilites.

2164AH: * Emperor Aris Stardancer I born in Priascialla.

2164AH: * Grand Duke Arkhos Tarikaden born in Abdera.

2171AH: * Gideon Grenville born into House Grenville. He becomes Duke in 2210.

2175AH: * Creation of the Brotherhood of Swords in Valrona.

2184AH: * Count Uwin Nesmith of House Tybiris dies. His son, Victor Nesmith, inherits the title.

2187AH: * Rashan, son of Tiramovar the Usurper, born on Bilashe.

2189AH: * Emperor Aris Stardancer I, after a surprise political skirmish and a series of battles for dominance, takes the throne of the Kiassan Empire. He marries N'men Thulevale of Lirwhin in a confirmation ceremony immediately thereafter.

2190AH: * Richard Stardancer, born to Emperor Aris Stardancer I.
* Eredis Montedevris(b. 2166-) named Duke of his House and married to Idellia Serebren later that year.

2195AH: * Kira Stardancer born on Scialla, and sent into hiding.
* Eclipsal Festival Year. Dancer, Shuna Merrin.
* Birth of Rus Niak of Lirwhin.

2200AH: * Sharyandro Emis born on Lirwhin.

2208AH: * Richard Stardancer named Grand Duke of Scialla.

2210AH: * Gideon Grenville of House Grenville becomes Duke of Duremontin 2210.

2211AH: * In a shocking political upset, Rus Niak of Lirwhin assumes the title of First Counsel of Lirwhin. He names Valad Balzha as his security advisor.

The Succession Wars and Aftermath

2212AH: * The Usurper Tiramovar murders the Royal Family and takes the throne. The Succession Wars erupts, and eventually Kira Stardancer gains the throne.
* Eclipsal Festival Year. Dancer, Illiya Amayrie.

2213AH: * The Successian Trials begin: various nobles are executed for collaboration, a general air of mistrust and paranoia takes the Empire, and over the next year, other Nobles are appointed and named.
* Trial and death of Teodor Welleslan of Valrona for collaboration.
* Duke Severan Welleslan of House Barrister, son of Teodor, is restored to his executed father's lands in Valrona.
* Grand Duke Willem of Kandar is named to his position.

2214AH: * Rashan, son of Tiramovar the Usurper, takes the Bilashan throne as declared by the prophets of Sernis.

2220AH: * Pontiff Leonis Dezra III (2161-now) made supreme head of the Haranite Church. He's a stern man of advancing years, a Cardinal from Valrona.

2222AH: * The House of Gold opens in Valrona.

2229AH: * Eclipsal Festival Year. Dancer: Andromeda Stormguard.

2230AH: * The current year as the game opens.
